Abstract

In order to study the effect of different fabric structures on the electromagnetic shiel-ding performance of fabrics,conductive silver-plated fibers and stainless steel filaments and insu-lating nylon filaments were used as raw materials,to weaving the single-layer and double-layer fabric with electromagnetic shielding properties.In the fabric structure,a series of single-layer and double-layer fabrics were designed and woven according to certain ratios with nylon filament yarns as warp yarns and conductive fibers as weft yarns.The basic properties and the electromag-netic shielding performance were tested and analyzed.The results showed that the best electro-magnetic shielding performance was 42.4 dB,which was achieved from the double-layer fabric with weft yarns of 1 nylon fiber and 2 silver-plated fibers in alternating weave fabric(B1).The electromagnetic shielding effect of the fabric(B4)with a weft of 1 nylon fiber and 2 stainless steel fibers alternately woven was 40.5 dB.The electromagnetic shielding performance increased sig-nificantly with the increase in the content of conductive fibers.When the conductive fiber content is the same,the electromagnetic shielding effect of silver-plated fiber fabrics is better than the electromagnetic shielding performance of stainless steel fibers.And the electromagnetic shielding performance of the double-layer fabric is better than that of the single-layer fabric.
