Abstract

Regarding the issue of reduced sealing performance of premium thread connection due to dynamic loads in high-temperature and high-pressure wells,based on the fretting contact theory,the critical slip state of the sealing surfaces was analyzed,and the energy dissipation and energy ratio of premium thread connection under different make-up torque were studied.The research results indicate that with an increase in make-up torque,the stress and contact pressure of the premium thread connection increase,and the adhesive region on the sealing surface gradually enlarges.Properly increasing the make-up torque without causing strength failure can reduce the energy dissipation on the sealing surface caused by dynamic loads and mitigate wear induced by slippage,thereby improving the sealing performance of the connection.Under three types of make-up torques and internal pressure of 50~90 MPa,the sealing index of the connection is greater than the critical sealing index under the corresponding internal pressure,meeting the sealing requirements of the connection.Through the research,the relationships between the make-up torque,energy dissipation and energy ratio are clarified,which can provide reference for the research of sealing performance of premium thread connection under dynamic load.
