摘要

Abstract

The aim of this experiment was to investigate the effects of different levels of reduced glutathione in the diets of juvenile Pseudobagrus fulvidraco on their growth performance,and to determine the optimal supplemental level of reduced glutathione for juvenile Pseudobagrus fulvidraco.Healthy juvenile yellow catfish with an initial body weight of 11g were divided into 4 treatment groups with 3 replicates per group and 35 juvenile yellow catfish per replicate according to the principle of single-factor design.Juvenile Pseudobagrus fulvidraco in the control group were fed a basal diet without reduced glutathione,and those in experimental groups were fed 200 mg/kg,400 mg/kg and 800 mg/kg supplemented with reduced glutathione,respectively.Juvenile yellow catfish were do-mesticated for 2 weeks and the formal experiment period was 6 weeks.At the end of the experiment,the growth performance of juvenile Pseudobagrus fulvidraco in each group was tested.The results showed as follows:Compared with the control group,feeding 400 mg/kg reduced glutathione significantly increased the final weight of juvenile yellow catfish(P<0.05).Diets of 400 and 800mg/kg reduced glutathione significantly increased weight gain rate and specific growth rate(P<0.05),and significantly decreased feed coefficient(P<0.05).In conclusion,the growth performance of juvenile Pseudobagrus fulvidraco can be improved by adding appropriate amount of reduced glutathione.
