Abstract
Professor Wang Xiujuan believes that the pathogenesis of syndrome of primary palmar hyperhidrosis(PPH)is often related to local stagnation of heat,as well as blockage of meridians and collaterals.The main syndrome differentiation types are as follows:syn-drome of disharmony between lungs and spleen,syndrome of stagnated heat in the middle energizer,syndrome of heart and mind defi-ciency.Professor Wang is skilled in using harmonizing method to treat syndrome of PPH from the spleen and stomach,as well as syn-drome of disharmony between lungs and spleen caused by excessive sweating in the palms.She often uses harmonizing method to regu-late the spleen and stomach,soothe the spleen qi,or method of tonifying the spleen and replenishing the stomach in order to promote the recovery of lung qi's ascending and descending.For syndrome of stagnated heat in the middle energizer,she often uses the method of harmonizing the liver and invigorating the spleen to soothe the liver,clear fire,invigorate the spleen and remove turbidity.For syndrome of heart and mind deficiency,she places emphasis on invigorating the spleen and replenishing qi on the basis of nourishing the heart and spleen,because the harmony of the middle qi leads to the regulation of the five internal organs.For PPH,Professor Wang focuses on o-verall syndrome differentiation,emphasizing both yin and yang,cold and heat inside and outside body,and the pathogenesis of the imbal-ance of the middle energizer qi mechanism.At the same time,she pays attention to emotional factors and follows Li Dongyuan's spleen and stomach view of"internal injury and overstrain damaging spleen qi,while diet injury damaging the stomach".She does not forget to take into account the physical and mental health factors of people under the pressure of modern society.In terms of medication,Professor Wang pays attention to the concept of holism,with a focus on harmonizing the qi mechanism in choosing formulas.She uses differential diagnosis and treatment methods such as soothing the liver depression,regulating nutrient-defense qi,harmonizing lesser yang meridian,etc.in order to achieve a stable state of yin-yang balance.关键词
