Crack Resistance of Multi-Span Simply-Supported Steel Beams with a Continuous Concrete Deck

Abstract
Multi-span simply-supported steel beams with a continuous concrete deck is a new type of steel-concrete composite system.In this system,a certain separation length of steel beam-concrete deck is set in the negative moment region,which can improve the stress state in the negative moment region of the concrete deck.At present,there are no experimental researches on the new system.In this study,a two-span quarter-scale model is designed and made based on the actual design of a steel-concrete composite system bridge,and the separation length in the negative moment region of the concrete deck is adjusted by installing and removing shear studs.Then,the influence of the separation length on the stress state and crack resistance of the concrete deck is studied by simulating a half heavy axle load on the deck.Finally,the crack resistance of the prototype bridge is analyzed.It is shown that the separation section of steel beam-concrete deck can significantly improve the crack resistance of the system.This study is of great significance to popularize the application of the system of multi-span simply supported steel beams with a continuous concrete deck and promote the development of prefabrication and assembly technology of bridge structures.关键词
