Design of large-section chamber supporting for underground powerhouse of pumped storage plant in coal bearing soft rock stratum

Abstract
In order to achieve green,low-carbon and sustainable development,Longdong Coal Mine of Datun Energy Co.,Ltd.plans to build a pumped storage plant in coal bearing soft rock stratum with a burial depth of about 300 m.One of the key issues to determine the feasibility of the project is whether we can maintain effectively and economically the stability of the large-section chamber in main powe-rhouse.Therefore,this article proposed a supporting design method based on specifications and grey correlation analysis.Firstly,the sta-bility of the surrounding rock of the chamber was graded,and then four alternative supporting schemes were proposed based on relevant specifications and engineering experience.Then,the supporting effects were compared and analyzed through numerical simulation.Final-ly,the grey theory correlation model was used to comprehensively analyze the supporting effects and supporting costs to determine the most technically and economically effective supporting scheme.From the supporting perspective of large-section soft rock chambers,the feasibility of constructing pumped storage plants in Longdong Coal Mine was demonstrated.This supporting design method was scientif-ic,feasible,and efficient,and can provide reference for the supporting design of large-section chambers in coal bearing soft rocks.关键词
