Normal or special case:few college sports enthusiasts have excellent physical fitness test results
摘要
Abstract
The physical fitness of college students continues to decline, while sports interests and hobbies contin-ue to rise, which contradicts the general understanding that interests and hobbies enhance physical fitness. In or-der to investigate the relationship between sports interests and physical health among college students,as well as the corresponding physical health scores of sports enthusiasts, random sampling and quasi experimental research were used to compare the physical health test data between sports enthusiasts and non enthusiasts. The results showed that the total test scores of male and female sports enthusiasts were significantly higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).The three indicators of male standing long jump,50 m,and pull-up were significantly better than the control group(P<0.01),while the differences in vital capacity, sitting forward flexion, and 1000 m running were not significant. The 50 m and 800 m runs of female students were significantly better than those of the control group(P<0.01),while the differences in vital capacity, standing long jump,1-minute sit ups,and sitting forward flexion were not significant.Compared to the excellent standards of the national student physical fitness and health test, except for vital capacity, the total score and excellent rate of various indicators for male and female sports enthusiasts are very low.The physical development of sports enthusiasts among college students is uneven and only a few of them have reached the national excellent level. Therefore, attention and comprehensive intervention are still needed in physical education teaching.关键词
