一种计算变形套管通过能力的新方法
A novel method for calculating the running ability of deformed casing

Abstract
The study of passage capability of specific tools through deformed casings is significance in the pro-duction of oil and gas.In this paper,the maximum attainable length of tools with fixed cross-sectional radius in bent or deformed casing sections is considered.Based on the multi-arm wellbore data and well information,a new computational model is developed for the calculation of maximum inscribed circle at various depth points.Three-dimensional passage capability of deformed casings is determined by using the geometric model-ing.In terms of the processing multi-arm wellbore data,a mode iteration search method is proposed to over-come the limitation of calculation accuracy of the least squares method and the issue of inscribed circle exceed-ing boundaries.An example is given to show that,comparing with the least squares method,the new method can effectively reduce the calculation error and prevent the inscribed circle from exceeding boundaries with a slightly lower computational efficiency.It is expected that the obtained results can be exploited to improve the production efficiency of oil and gas.关键词
