Abstract
The work aims to explore the inheritance expression of the exterior design of China's existing rail vehicles and analyze its effect on shaping the rail vehicles image.This paper takes China's representative high-speed trains and urban rail transit trains as research objects.From the perspective of design genes,the explicit and implicit elements of the exterior design of rail vehicles are divided.Therefore,the evolutionary patterns in exterior design of rail vehicles was analyzed from explicit features,and the product image and cultural connotation was analyzed from implicit features.By comparison,it is found that the inheritance design of high-speed trains and urban rail transit trains mainly revolves around two aspects:modeling and coating.Combined with the characteristics of the times,product positioning,and cultural characteristics,a unified and variable product image feature is shaped,forming a genealogical product family.关键词
