摘要

Abstract

The uniform cross-linked maleic anhydride/α-methylstyrene copolymer microspheres were prepared by self-stable precipitation polymerization.The polymer microspheres were post-treated by washing with methanol,vacuumizing and drying.The effects of the post-treatment process such as methanol washing amount,drying temperature and time on the properties of the polymer microspheres were studied.Properties of polymers were characterized by SEM,FTIR,TG,TG-FTIR,and 1H NMR.The results show that washing twice with methanol at room temperature,followed by vacuum extraction and drying at 130℃ for 12 h did not change morphology,structure,particle size and its distribution of polymer microspheres.Washing with methanol helps to reduce the volatile content and control the yellow index(YI)of polymer microspheres.Washing twice with 144 g methanol,vacuuming and drying at 150-160℃ for 8-12 h can effectively reduce the volatile content in the polymer microspheres,the resultant polymer microspheres exhibit a YI of lower than 6.
