深度翻译视阈下中国古代法医学著作的翻译
Translation of Ancient Chinese Forensic Works from the Perspective of Thick Translation:Taking Xi Yuan Ji Lu as an Example
摘要
Abstract
Ancient Chinese forensic works represented by Xi Yuan Ji Lu contain rich traditional Chinese medicine culture and forensic medical terms,which are extremely difficult to translate.The thick translation theory can effec-tively compensate for the lack of meaning caused by intercultural translation,promoting cultural transmission and communication.From the perspective of thick translation,this paper analyzes the English version of Xi Yuan Ji Lu and discovers a large number of typical thick translation strategies.Inside the text,the thick translation strategies in-clude note,illustration,comment,etc.;outside the text,the thick translation strategies include foreword,introduc-tion,bibliography,index,etc..It is found that both inside and outside the text,each form of thick translation applied in the English version of Xi Yuan Ji Lu has played a unique role and jointly given birth to the creation of a success-ful translation.Therefore,thick translation is of great importance for the translation and transmission of Chinese me-dical classics.关键词
