Estimation of vegetation ecological water demand in Hexi region
摘要
Abstract
Accurate estimation of vegetation ecological water demand is essential not only for the rational development and management of water resources but also for providing a foundation for scientifically formulating policies for ecological environmental protection and restoration. This study aims to explore the accuracy and applicability of different methods for estimating vegetation ecological water demand in the Hexi region and to conduct such an estimation based on these methods.By collecting vegetation water consumption data from 11 flux observation stations in the Hexi region, vegetation ecological water demand models are validated and calibrated, and the Vegetation Cover-Corrected Evapotranspiration method is selected as the suitable model for this region.Combining field observation data with satellite remote sensing data, the vegetation ecological water demand in the Hexi region is estimated from 2000 to 2020.The results show that the vegetation ecological water demand in the Hexi region from 2000 to 2020 was 173.86±6.10 × 108 m3,exhibiting a spatial distribution pattern of high in the southeast and low in the northwest. With a significant annual increase in vegetation coverage at a rate of 0.002,the vegetation ecological water demand also showed a significant increasing trend at a rate of 0.70 × 108 m3 per year. This study provides a scientific basis for the accurate estimation and in-depth analysis of vegetation ecological water demand in the Hexi region and offers references and insights for future related research.关键词
