Evolution and influencing factors of the spatio-temporal pattern of China's open economy

Abstract
The study of the spatial and temporal patterns of the open economy is conducive to the formulation of open economy development paths in different types of provinces and the promotion of coordinated interregional development.An open economy evaluation system is constructed from three dimensions,namely trade openness,investment openness and strategic coupling,and entropy-weighted TOPSIS method,exploratory spatio-temporal data analysis,and dynamic spatial panel model are used respectively to analyse the level of China's open economy development,the evolution of spatio-temporal pattern,and the influencing factors from 2001 to 2021.The results show that the overall level of China's open economy development has increased,but the changes are very different for different regional provinces.The gradient pattern of"high in the east,low in the central and western"has been broken,and the"T-shaped"structure of east-west synergy has been initially established and steadily upgraded.the spatial heterogeneity of the open economy has gradually weakened,and spatial autocorrelation has become more pronounced.the relative length of the LISA time path shows a spatial trend of decreasing from the coastal border to the inland area,the camber of the LISA time path shows a trend of decreasing from the coastal area to the neighbouring provinces and then to the coastal and inland areas.Factors such as the institutional environment,natural resource endowment,national preferential policies,the level of infrastructure,and the effect of neighbouring provinces have driven the development of the open economy.关键词
