Construction Method and Compressive Strength Test of Soda Residue-based Foamed Lightweight Soil Subgrade

Abstract
Soda residue is the waste residue generated during the production of soda using ammonia-soda process,and its large accumulation will pollute the environment.In this investigation,the soda residue-based foamed lightweight soil was pre-pared using the original soda residue,and it was employed as the subgrade filler for Xuwei-Guanyun section of Lianyungang-Suqian Expressway.Optimizing the construction scheme,the construction method of soda residue-based foamed lightweight soil was proposed;the compressive strength was determined and compared with the design and specification values.These find-ing demonstrate that the construction method of soda residue-based foamed lightweight soil is simple,and the compressive strength meets the design and specification requirements.The conventional foamed lightweight soil can be re-placed using soda residue-based foamed lightweight soil,which can achieve the purpose of saving cement,reducing carbon emissions and engineering cost,and has a wide application prospect.关键词
