Synchronous Transient Exposure Mode of External Trigger of Global Shutter-Type sCMOS Image Sensor

Abstract
To realize the precise synchronization of the external trigger signal and sensor exposure of the sCMOS image sensor in transient imaging system,the external trigger working mode of sCMOS image sensor is studied.Firstly,its performance parameters,working principle and correlated quadruple sampling operation are analyzed.Secondly,the general working time sequence is analyzed,and according to the working time sequence required by the transient imaging system,the external trigger working mode with high synchronization accuracy is designed for the sCMOS image sensor.The synchronous transient exposure of the imaging system is realized.Then,the imaging system is placed in a camera obscura to perform imaging experiments on the image with fixed light sources.Finally,the external trigger mode of the imaging system is improved,and the high gain images are obtained.The experimental results show that the trigger delay time of the imaging system is less than 26.68 ns,and the trigger shaking time is less than 6.67 ns.In addition,in the external trigger mode the external trigger signal must be set before the reset frame is read out,and the synchronous exposure process of the sensor must cross a frame to reset the frame to realize the synchronous exposure function of the image sensor.That is,the workflow of the imaging system is waiting for the external trigger signal,sensor exposure with reset frame readout,and data frame readout.The imaging system can synchronize the external trigger signal with the exposure process,and can be coupled with the image intensifier for transient process imaging.关键词
