Abstract
In 1994,the Third Central Work Forum on Tibet made the significant decision of pairwise aid to Tibet.The year 2024 marks the 30th anniversary of this initiative.Over the past 30 years,the individuals who have involved in this initiative have diligently implemented the cen-tral government's policies,and injected vitality into Tibet's economic and social development,great-ly promoting its long-term stability and high-quality development.General Secretary Xi Jinping has personally visited Tibet for inspection and guidance,chaired two Central Work Forums on Ti-bet,and issued numerous important instructions and directives concerning Tibet's work.He has es-tablished the Party's strategy for governing Tibet in the new era,designating stability,development,ecology,and strengthening borders as the strategic tasks of Tibet's work.This has pointed out the direction and provided fundamental guidelines for building a new,modern socialist Tibet.This jour-nal has specially invited Lian Xiangmin Deputy Director of the China Tibetology Research Center,and Xu Zhimin,a researcher at the Institute of Historical Theory of the Chinese Academy of So-cial Sciences,to contribute an article to celebrate this historical event.
