Abstract
There were many different sects in ancient India that were spreading,competing,and influen-cing one another simultaneously.How can anyone prove they have mastered the truth,even though they all say they do?Exist dependable criteria to support this claim?The wise teachers are trou-bled by this issue.Prior to Dignāga,a measurement system known as"Pañcāvayava"was in use,but it was unreliable.Dignaga was the one who solved the problem entirely.Additionally,the work proved Dignāga's place and significance in Hetuvidyā history.关键词
