Diagnosis and Treatment of Canine Mandibular Malignant Melanoma
摘要
Abstract
Malignant melanoma is a common oral malignant tumor in dogs,primarily treated through surgical excision,although it is challenging to achieve a complete cure.This paper reports a case of a Labrador Retriever presented to our hospital with a red mass between the incisors.Ultrasonography revealed splenomegaly.Further diagnostic assistance was provided by computed tomography(CT),and the dog underwent partial left mandibulectomy and splenectomy.Histopathological examination confirmed the diagnosis of oral malignant melanoma and chronic congestion of the spleen.A follow-up in January 2023 showed a good prognosis with no recurrence.This case study summarizes and analyzes the medical history,diagnosis,and treatment process,aiming to provide a reference for veterinarians in diagnosing and treating similar cases in China.关键词
