Abstract
Flavonoids are polyphenolic compounds that are widely found in natural plants and have strong antioxidant capabilities.In recent years,more and more studies have proved that flavonoids are beneficial to livestock production as feed additives.Kelch-like ECH-associating protein 1-nuclear factor erythroid 2 related factor 2/antioxidant response element(Keap1-Nrf2/ARE)is a key signaling pathway that enhances the body's antioxidant capacity and is involved in resisting damage from external oxidative stress.Flavonoids mainly regulate the Keap1-Nrf2/ARE pathway,activate the expression of upstream and downstream key factors,activate the activity of antioxidant enzymes,improve the body's antioxidant capacity,and thus achieve the improvement of animal growth performance,reproductive performance,and immune system.In this article the molecular structure of Keap1-Nrf2/ARE and its antioxidant mechanism,as well as the regulation of Keap1-Nrf2/ARE signaling pathway by flavonoids and their application in animal production were reviewed.The aim of this paper is to provide reference for the further development and application of flavonoids as feed additives.关键词
