Abstract
Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of serum procalcitonin(PCT),white blood cell count(WBC),and blood culture combined detection for the diagnosis of emergency bacterial infectious diseas-es.Methods 90 patients with emergency infectious diseases admitted to Xiamen Third Hospital from September 2022 to September 2023 and 40 health examinees who underwent physical examination at the same time were select-ed as research subjects.According to the results of pathogen examination, the patients with infectious diseases were divided into the bacterial infection group(n=50)and the viral infection group(n=40),with healthy individuals as the control group. The levels of serum PCT,WBC,and blood culture positivity were compared among the three groups,as well as the diagnostic value of PCT,WBC,blood culture alone and in combination in emergency bacterial infec-tious diseases. Results The levels of serum PCT,PCT positivity,WBC count,WBC positivity, and blood culture positivity in the bacterial infection group were higher than those in the viral infection group and the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).There were no statistically significant differences in the levels of serum PCT,PCT positivity,WBC count,WBC positivity, and blood culture positivity between the viral infection group and the control group(P>0.05).The sensitivity(96.00%),accuracy(97.50%),specificity(96.67%),positive predictive value(97.96%),and negative predictive value(95.12%)of the combined detection of PCT,WBC,and blood culture were higher than those of single detection methods. Conclusion Serum procalcitonin, white blood cell count, and blood culture combined detection have a high diagnostic value for emergency bacterial infectious diseases.关键词
