Abstract
Objective To investigate the effects of regulating Ren and Du meridians through Tuina massage and warm acupuncture on lumbar extensor muscle function, pain mediators, and oxidative stress of patients with lum-bar disc herniation. Methods 168 patients with lumbar disc herniation diagnosed and treated in our hospital from April 2022 to January 2023 were randomly divided into 2 groups, with 84 cases in the control group and 84 cases in the study group. The control group was treated with conventional Western medicine treatment, and the study group was treated with regulating massage Ren and Du meridians through Tuina massage and warm acupuncture treatment on the basis of the control group. The oxidative stress indexes of lumbar and dorsal extensor muscles before and after treatment and other related biochemical indicators were compared between two groups. Results The median fre-quency slope(MFs),average power frequency(MPF),average electromyographic amplitude(AEMG),average pow-er,and peak moment under lumbar and back extension state in the study group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The lumbar flexion-extension ratio of the study group was significantly lower compared to the control group, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Substance P(SP),serotonin(5-HT),dopa-mine(DA),and prostaglandin E2(PGE2)in the study group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The glutathione peroxidase(GSH-PX)and superoxide dismutase(SOD)in the study group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The MDA and GSSG in the study group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of regulating Ren and Du meridians through Tuina massage and warm acupuncture treatment for patients with lumbar disc herniation can effectively improve the function of lumbar extensor muscle group, reduce pain mediators, and relieve oxidative stress.关键词
