Abstract
Objective:To study the effect of Atorvastatin Calcium Tablets in the treatment of elderly patients after cataract surgery.Method:A total of 88 elderly cataract patients who were underwent surgical treatment in the Ophthalmology Department of Nanzhang County Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2020 to January 2022 were selected as the study objects and divided into two groups according to random number table method,with 44 cases in each group.All patients underwent phacoemulsification.The observation group was given Atorvastatin Calcium Tablets after surgery,while the control group was given no additional medication.The treatment effect,the fovea center retinal thickness(CRT),the best corrected visual acuity(BCVA),and the level of blood lipid[total cholesterol(TC),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)]were compared between the two groups.Result:The total effective rate of the observation group was 95.45%,which was significantly higher than 81.82%of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).At 3 weeks,12 weeks and 24 weeks after surgery,CRT in both groups were higher than those at 1 d after surgery,but the observation group were lower than those in the control group;at 12 weeks and 24 weeks after surgery,CRT in the groups were lower than that at 3 weeks after surgery;and at 24 weeks after surgery,CRT in the two groups were lower than that at 12 weeks after surgery,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).At 1 week,3 weeks and 6 weeks after surgery,BCVA in both groups were higher than those before surgery;at 3 weeks and 6 weeks after surgery,BCVA in both groups were higher than that at 1 week after surgery;at 6 weeks after surgery,BCVA in both groups were higher than those at 3 weeks after surgery;at 3 weeks and 6 weeks after operation,BCVA in observation group were higher than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).At 12 weeks after surgery,the levels of TC and LDL-C in both groups were lower than those before surgery,and the levels of HDL-C were higher than that before surgery,and the levels of TC and LDL-C in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the levels of HDL-C was higher than that in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The application of Atorvastatin Calcium Tablets after surgery in elderly cataract patients can effectively control the blood lipid level of patients,thereby improving vision,reducing the risk of macular edema and improving the therapeutic effect.关键词
