摘要

Abstract

The dual-spindle friction stirring process has become one of the most efficient and reliable processes for joining thicker lightweight plates,but the equipment currently available for the dual-spindle friction stirring welding technology is not well developed.In this paper,a new type of dual-spindle friction stir welding equipment is designed for the dual-spindle friction stir welding technology.The ANSYS Workbench software is used to conduct the statics analysis of fuselage for the equipment,check the stiffness and strength of the body,and investigate the vibration response characteristics of the equipment through modal analysis to verify the structural reliability of the equipment.The results show that under the rated working condition,the maximum deformation of the body is 0.55 mm,the deformation of the main shaft installation position is about 0.20 mm;the maximum deformation of the main shaft is 1.73 μm,the maximum strain is 1.97×10-4,and the maximum stress is 20.64 MPa.The strength and stiffness of the body and main shaft meet the requirements of the double-spindle friction stir welding process.The maximum stress at the spindle mounting position and the important position of the screw is about 20 MPa,which is much less than the allowable stress of the body material.The first-order inherent frequency of the machine body is 53.58 Hz,and the first-order inherent frequency of the spindle is 3 387.0 Hz,which avoids the working frequency of the motor,and the vibration of the machine is stable during operation without resonance.
