The application of gynostemma pentaphyllum in the treatment of respiratory diseases

Abstract
Gynostemma pentaphyllum,widely utilized in traditional medicine,has shown unique potential in the treatment of respiratory diseases in modern scientific research.This review comprehensively summarizes the botanical classification characteristics of Gynostemma pentaphyllum and its historical uses in ethnomedicine,highlighting its role in various traditional treatments.It thoroughly discusses the phytochemical properties of Gy-nostemma pentaphyllum,including the fundamental substances,sources,and synthetic pathways of its main ac-tive components.The therapeutic effects of Gynostemma pentaphyllum on respiratory diseases are analyzed in depth.Additionally,network pharmacology methods are employed to reveal its potential therapeutic mechanisms and targets.Finally,a bibliometric analysis is conducted to evaluate the trends and developments in recent re-search on Gynostemma pentaphyllum for the treatment of respiratory diseases.Through a multi-angle review,this article systematically summarizes the research progress and application prospects of Gynostemma pentaphyllum in the treatment of respiratory diseases,providing a theoretical foundation and scientific basis for further clinical re-search and application.关键词
