摘要

Abstract

In order to investigate the influence of the placement of middle column viscous dampers in frame structures at different locations within the same span on the damping efficiency of structures.Through theoretical analysis,the displacement of the damper was decomposed into three aspects:floor shear deformation,beam-column joint rotational displacement,and deformation of the upper column or lower column supporting the damper.The inter-story drift utilization ratio of dampers at different placement positions within the same span was analyzed.Shaking table tests of single-story and three-story steel frame structures were conducted,in order to validate the correctness of the theoretical analysis.Applying research findings to engineering instances,the impact of layout positions on damping efficiency was further analyzed.Experimental research results indicate that the damping efficiency is closely related to the placement position of the damper,and when the damper is located at 1/2 of the beam span compared to 1/6 of the beam span,the inter-story drift utilization ratio increases by 15%-25%,the additional damping ratio increases by 10%-30%,the top displacement or floor drift decreases by 5%-15%,and the base shear or floor shear decreases by 5%-15%.
