Abstract
The sandstorm-prone area in Yuyang District accounts for three-quarters of the total area of the district.Characterized by arid climate and a fragile ecological environment,the region faces im-mense development pressure,which has become one of the major bottlenecks constraining the socio-economic development of Yuyang.The need to improve the economic benefits of the sandy areas is ur-gent and cannot be delayed.The development and utilization of the ecological mulberry industry is conducive to changing the current situation of low economic benefits in the ecological shelterbelt in Yuyang District,and it is also an effective measure to resolve conflicts between forestry and animal husbandry.This paper briefly introduced the biological characteristics and values of mulberry trees,expounded the current status and development prospects of the ecological mulberry industry in Yuyang District,as well as the existing problems in its development.Furthermore,strategies for pro-moting the ecological mulberry industry in Yuyang District were proposed,including strengthening researchon cultivation and management techniques;intensifying the renovation of low-efficiency mulberry gardens;developing different eco-economic dual-purpose mulberry varieties in the north-ern and southern regions;promoting mutually beneficial cooperative management;vigorously imple-menting brand strategies;and constructing a diversified and comprehensive market platform.These measures aim to facilitate the high-quality development of the ecological mulberry industry in Yuyang District.关键词
