Impact of Digital New Quality Productivity on Agricultural and Rural Modernization:Index System Construction and Effect Test

Abstract
As an important component of new quality productivity,digital new quality productivity has become the driving factor of agricultural and rural modernization.This paper elaborates on the impact and mechanism of digital new quality productiv-ity on agricultural and rural modernization from a theoretical perspective,and conducts empirical tests based on the panel data of 31 provinces in China from 2012 to 2022.The research results indicate that digital new quality productivity has a significant posi-tive impact on agricultural and rural modernization,and that the impact still holds after robustness and endogeneity tests.The re-sults of the mediation effect test show that the promoting effect of digital new quality productivity on agricultural and rural modern-ization is based on the mediating effect of labor and capital allocation,that is,digital new quality productivity can empower agri-cultural and rural modernization by optimizing labor and capital allocation.The heterogeneity test results show that digital new quality productivity has a more significant promoting effect on agricultural and rural modernization in regions with higher level of urbanization and the eastern regions.关键词
