Abstract

Under the guidance of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)theory,TCM decoction pieces are prescription drugs made by processing and concocting Chinese herbal medicines according to the needs of clinical syndrome differentiation and treatment.The processing of TCM is a traditional pharmaceutical technology with the most independent intellectual property rights in TCM,and the"raw and cooked treatment"of TCM pieces is an important symbol that distinguishes Chinese medicine from natural medicines.The high-quality development of the TCM decoction pieces industry is crucial for promoting the inheritance and innovation of TCM.Currently,relevant national policies and regulations are gradually guiding the TCM industry towards inheritance,innovation and intelligent manufacturing.However,the TCM decoction pieces industry still faces many challenges,such as insufficient development of TCM processing inheritance and innovation,the"small and comprehensive"production mode,and the relatively scattered competition pattern of the industry,which lead to insufficient standardization and intelligent development of the production process.Additionally,quality control of decoction pieces lacks holistic and characteristic standards,and the scientific nature of the grading standards is debatable.This paper proposes solutions to these issues by promoting the inheritance and innovation of TCM processing through excavating the characteristic processing technologies and varieties and exploring the scientific connotation of TCM processing theories.It also suggests strengthening the control of the processing origin of the pieces,improving the quality control level of the production process,and promoting the intensive,large-scale,and intelligent development of the TCM decoction pieces industry.Furthermore,it recommends analyzing key identification technologies for the quality evaluation of decoction pieces,actively exploring quality grade evaluation standards,and constructing a quality evaluation system that reflects the characteristics of TCM decoction pieces.Modern Internet of Things technology should be used to establish a traceability system for decoction pieces.By focusing on TCM decoction pieces and promoting the inheritance,innovation,and development of TCM,the high-quality development of the TCM decoction pieces industry can be realized.
