摘要

Abstract

Various factors such as mechanical damage and inflammatory reaction during cardiopulmonary bypass(CPB)can cause red blood cell damage and the release of a large amount of free hemoglobin.Early diagnosis and treatment of hemolysis are crucial,as an increase of free hemoglobin in plasma is associated with adverse clinical outcomes in patients.In this article,we review the research advances on hemolysis during CPB,including causes,mechanisms,diagnosis,and treatment of hemolysis.
