Effects of Light Exposure on Growth and Reproductive Performance of Replacement Gilts:A Review
摘要
Abstract
Light plays a crucial role in the breeding of replacement gilts,and numerous studies from both domestic and international sources have demonstrated that scientifically sound light management can significantly improve the age at puberty and estrus of replacement gilts,thereby enhancing the economic efficiency of breeding.However,in China,there remains insufficient emphasis on light management in pig farming,with many practitioners relying on empirical knowledge rather than authoritative and convincing light standards.This article provides a comprehensive overview of the impact of light intensity,lightduration,light wavelength,and different light sources on the growth and reproductive performance of replacement gilts,aiming to offer theoretical references for the rational use of lighting in replacement gilt production.关键词
