Abstract

Transformer bushing is one of the important accessories of transformer.Partial discharge is the main cause of insulation fault of bushing.Partial discharge detection is helpful to improve the safety and stability of power grid operation.Aiming at the problems of low detection sensitivity and poor anti electro-magnetic interference ability of the existing partial discharge detection methods,the author presents a par-tial discharge testing method for transformer bushing based on optical fiber EFPI sensor.Design and fab-ricate an optical fiber EFPI sensor which can extend into the transformer bushing and the transformer ris-er.The partial discharge experiment platform of bushing is built,and the partial discharge test is carried out on the bushing with four typical defects.The detection effect of EFPI sensor and other traditional par-tial discharge detection sensors on the internal and external discharge of bushing is compared and ana-lyzed,which proves the feasibility and superiority of using EFPI sensor to detect partial discharge of bushing,and has a certain engineering significance.
