Analysis of Shell's energy transition strategy in recent years
摘要
Abstract
In February 2021,Shell issued its"Powering Progress"strategy,aiming to accelerate its energy transition and set out its short,medium,and long-term greenhouse gas reduction goals.On 14 March 2024,Shell published its Energy Transition Strategy 2024,which focuses on reducing net carbon intensity from 20%to 15%-20%by 2030,developing the world's leading LNG business by reducing carbon intensity,cutting carbon emission from oil and gas production,providing more low-carbon products and solutions,focusing on electric vehicle charging,biofuels,and integrated power,and adjusting its organization structure to match the business development strategy.It is recommended that Chinese oil and gas companies focus on their core business and take into consideration to decarburization at same time as well as strive to build a cleaner and more competitive upstream business,pay more attention to the development of natural gas business as a key support for its energy transition,and improve the competitiveness of new energy business based on its own business characteristics and core competencies.关键词
