The 5m S-SAR satellite is a SAR satellite that adopts phased array feed reflector anten-na system.Starting from the technical requirements of 5-meter S-SAR antenna,this article elab-orates on the reasons for adopting phased array feed reflector antenna system,and introduces the working principle,design method,and performance characteristics of this antenna.The article provides the composition of the antenna system and some typical measured results.The main in-novation of phased array feed reflector antenna lies in the fusion of phased array antenna and re-flector antenna.This structure combines the characteristics of high reliability,flexible beam con-trol of phased array antenna,and easy implementation of large aperture,lightweight,and high storage ratio of reflector antenna.In some application scenarios,it can achieve the optimal bal-ance of resources and efficiency.This article explains the characteristics of phased array feed re-flector antennas,in order to provide reference for the subsequent development and improvement of this technology route.
