桑源药材的化学成分及治疗2型糖尿病的作用机制研究进展
Research progress of the chemical constituents of mulberry-derived herbs and their mechanisms on treating type 2 diabetes

Abstract
Mulberry leaves,twigs,white mulberry root-barks,and fruits are derived from Morus alba L.and have good physiological activities.These mulberry-derived herbs contain various chemical components such as flavonoids,alkaloids,polysaccharides,phenolic acids,Diels-Alder-type component,and coumarins,among which flavonoids,polysaccharides,or alkaloids are their characteristic active ingredients.The different parts of mulberry can prevent and treat type 2 diabetes by inhibiting the α-glucosidase activity,protecting pancreatic islets β cells,improving inflammatory reactions and antioxidant stress,regulating the mitochondrial metabolism,regulating intestinal flora,and improving complications of diabetes,etc.In this paper,a systematic review is made on the chemical compositions of the mulberry-derived herbs and their applications and mechanisms in the prevention and treatment of type 2 diabetes,aiming to provide a guidance for their future development and clinical application.关键词
