Abstract

Taking the double-stage hammer crusher as the research object,considering the load sequence effect and the load inter-action effect on pin shaft fatigue damage,the Manson-Halford(M-H)nonlinear fatigue damage model was modified,and the ac-curacy of the modified model was verified through experimental data.The dynamic load of the pin shaft was obtained through MF-BD-DEM bidirectional coupling method,which takes into account the nonlinear collision contact between the hammer head and the pin shaft and the influence of material particles on the force of the pin shaft.Finally,the modified M-H model was used for fa-tigue analysis of the pin shaft.The results show that compared with the existing model,the modified M-H model has the smallest relative error in the validation of examples.Based on the modified M-H model,the minimum fatigue life of the pin shaft is calcu-lated to be 9.918× 106 cycles(165 h).It is reasonable and feasible to use the MFBD-DEM bidirectional coupling method for fa-tigue analysis of large crushing equipment such as double-stage hammer crushers.
