Resources,Flow,and Effects of Power in Romantic Relationships
摘要
Abstract
Objective:To explore the power dynamics in romantic relationships by examining the sources,flow,and effects of power,and to construct a theoretical model of power in romantic relationships. Methods:Using qualitative research methods,in-depth interviews were conducted with 10 pairs of couples from 10 different cities.Grounded theory was employed to analyze the interview data. Results:The power in romantic relationships originates from various factors within the relationship and the environment.It fluctuates over time and across different scenarios,impacting cognition and behavior.The power balance between partners does not directly determine relationship satisfaction.Instead,the alignment between an individual's actual power and their power needs affects the harmony of the relationship and personal satisfaction. Conclusion:The development of power in romantic relationships can be modeled by incorporating the sources,flow,and effects of power.The match between an individual's actual power and their power needs plays a crucial role in their romantic experience.关键词
