The Significance of Knowledgeable Narrative in Popular Historical Romance of Voyage to the West
摘要
Abstract
Popular Historical Romance of Voyage to the West,a popular novel of the Ming Dynasty,displays Western customs and objects through the carrier of gift lists and dialogues.This is different from other gods and demons novels with the theme of magic weapons.The advantage of gift lists and dialogues narratives is that they can effectively form the narrative mode of the novel,reveal the central idea,and show the process of translating classical Chinese into vernacular language.As the special perspectives of the knowledgeable narrative in the field of ancient popular novels,the gift lists and dialogues narratives should be re-examined and given full attention.关键词
