Research advances in biomarkers for collateral circulation in ischemic stroke

Abstract
Ischemic stroke is a group of diseases with the clinical manifestation of neurological deficits due to a re-duction in cerebral blood perfusion caused by occlusion or narrowing of cerebral blood vessels,with the characteristics of high incidence rate,high disability rate,and high mortality rate.When ischemic stroke occurs,blood reaches the isch-emic area through other open or new vessels to compensate for the ischemic tissue,and such open anastomotic branches or new vessels are collectively referred to as cerebral collateral circulation.At present,imaging examination is the main method for evaluating collateral circulation,but it is still limited by certain technical issues.Several studies have shown that biomarkers are important in reflecting the status and formation of collateral circulation,and this article reviews the re-search advances in the biomarkers for collateral circulation in ischemic stroke.关键词
