Abstract

In order to study the distribution of wildlife along the road and the utilization of access roads in the Three-Rivers-Source area,the K93-K183 and K298-K386 sections of Zhiduo County,Yushu Prefecture,from Zaduo County to Nangqian County road(referred to as Zhinang road)were selected as the research objects,the distribution of wildlife along the route and the utilization of bridges were studied by using sam-ple line survey and infrared camera monitoring methods.The results showed that there were 14 species of mammals and 24 species of birdsalong the Zhinang Road.Among them,there were 4 species of national first-class protected wild animals,which accounted for 10.53%;there were 11 species of national level Ⅱ protected wild animals,which accounted for 28.95%;there were 3 species of key protected animals in Qinghai Province,which accounted for 7.89%.Among them,14 species of mammals belonged to 5 geographical distribution types;24 bird species be-longed to 8 geographical distribution types.In the sample line survey,6 species of mammals and 23 species of birds were found,accounting for 42.86%and 95.83%of the total species surveyed respectively.According to the infrared camera monitoring results,the relative abundance in-dex(RAI)of species was ranked as follows:Vulpes ferrilata(6.32,accounting for 31.85%)>Pseudois nayaur(4.63,accounting for 21.34%)>Buteo hemilasius(1.81,accounting for 9.12%)>Onychostruthus taczanowskii(1.26,accounting for 6.35%)>Pyrrhocorax pyrrho-corax(1.23,accounting for 6.20%).RAI index of other species was below 1,the total was4.59,accounting for 23.14%.In conclusion,the influence of the highway on the wild animals around was small,and the wild animals along the highway had high value of protection and scien-tific research.Compared with the sample line survey,infrared camera monitoring was more effective for animal surveys.
