Abstract

Excessive hydrogen content in oxygen is easy to lead to safety risks during low-load operation of hydrogen production by renewable energy hydro-electrolysis,which is mainly attributed to lye intermi-xing after separation tank. In view of lye intermixing,the impact of gas partial pressure difference on both sides of the diaphragm and operating load on the in-dex of hydrogen in oxygen accounting for more than 50%,improved measures to reduce the safety risk of hydrogen in oxygen were proposed. In the commonly used alkaline water electrolysis hydrogen production process,the addition of lye degassing tank and the a-daptive capacity modification of the supplement pump can eliminate the influence of lye mixing on hydrogen in oxygen,and the hydrogen content in by-product oxygen can be achieved below 1% even when running at a low load of 10%,which can meet the safety risk reduction and more fully adapt to the unstable energy characteristics of renewable energy power generation.
