Optimization of the Slip Tooth Structure of the Rotating Casing Device

Abstract

The design of the rotary casing device's slip teeth is unreasonable,which can easily cause problems such as wear of the slip tooth and damage to the casing.To address the above issues,a numerical calculation model for clamping the casing with a slip plate is established to study the influence of slip tooth shape and slip tooth structural parameters on the mechanical properties of the slip tooth and the casing.The results indicate that under different slip tooth shapes,the maximum stress on the slip plate and the casing is located at both ends,and the flat top tooth shape is the most reasonable.In addition,the contact pressure,slip tooth stress,and the casing stress rises with the in-crease of the front angle α of the slip tooth,rear corner β and tooth pitch S and decreases with the increase of tooth top width W.Finally,with contact pressure,slip tooth stress,and the casing stress as optimization objectives,and slip tooth structural parameters as design variables,the optimized slip tooth structural parameters using orthogonal ex-perimental method are the slip tooth front angle α=20°,rear corner β=45°,tooth height H=1.2 mm,and tooth pitch S=3 mm.After optimizing the slip tooth,it can greatly improve the service life of the rotating casing device.
