Abstract
The release and implementation of the Regulation (EU) 2023/1542 Concerning Batteries and Waste Batteries (EU's new battery regulations) have a significant impact on China's automotive and battery industries.The upstream and downstream of the industry chain are facing higher requirements,and will also face the EU's green trade barriers.The development history of battery regulations is introduced,focuses on the contents of the new battery regulations such as hazardous substances,carbon footprints,label information,conformity assessments,due diligence and e-passports,etc.,the important implementation time points such as hazardous substance restrictions,carbon footprints and label information are described.Compared with the 2006 version,the new battery regulations have undergone great changes.Enterprises need to grasp its relevance to the supply chain,prepare materials in advance,and control risks;the third-party testing institutions should establish the ability to meet the requirements of the new battery regulations to help enterprises and suppliers cope with risks and challenges.关键词
