摘要

Abstract

Steel pipe piles are used in the construction of a port terminal of Rio Tinto Simandou t in Guinea.Part of the site presents a thick layer of local shallow soft soil.When the steel pipe piles are driven into the surface layer of the weathered rock at this location,the horizontal resistance of the pile foundation will be poor when the pile tips are not embedded in rock socket.In addition,the project site is located at the mouth of the river,where the curreent flow velocity can reach 3 m/s during the flooding tide or ebbing tide in the rainy season,and the probability of large displacement of the steel pipe pile is very large in the case of the extreme flow velocity.If effective pile clamping measures are not taken,it will be difficult for the steel pipe pile to meet the design and specification requirements.In order to ensure the accuracy of the piling work,analyses are made on the stresses in the piles,having resulted in the proposal and application of a series of measures for the clamping of the steel pipe pile.The proposed measures can effectively solve the influence of large flow rate on the accuracy of pile driving work performed in weak soil,Being technically advanced and applicable,the techniques can provide technical reference for similar projects.
