Artificial Intelligence Applications and Green Innovation in Manufacturing Firms
摘要
Abstract
Artificial intelligence(AI),as an important driving force of the new round of technological change,will inevita-bly also have a significant impact on green innovation in manufacturing firms while promoting corporate intelligence,automation and informationization.This paper empirically examines the influence and action mechanism of AI application on corporate green innova-tion with the industrial robots data and firms green patents in China.The research shows that AI application helps to promote manu-facturing firms green innovation.The action mechanism shows that cost saving,knowledge spillover,and human capital effect play a partial mediating role between AI application and manufacturing firm green innovation.Further research shows that the promotion effect of AI application on manufacturing firms green innovation is more obvious in the east central region,non-heavily polluted and low financial incentive firm groups.The findings of this paper both enrich the literature on the micro green innovation effects of AI and provide insights into how governments and firms can improve green innovation.关键词
