摘要

Abstract

This study compares two spectrophotometric methods for determining iron content in water,and improves the phenanthroline spectrophotomety.The improvement measures are as follows.(1)The low heat boiling step is adjusted to a constant temperature water bath at 100 ℃ for 10 minutes,to ensure the same conditions for the standard curve and detection sample.(2)The usage of reagents is reduced by half,so as to save costs and reduce environmental pollution.(3)The sampling volume is changed to 40mL.Through the determination of standard curves,detection limits,precision,and spiked recovery experiments,it is found that the improved method has a larger slope and higher sensitivity,and high precision and accuracy,and the detection results are true and reliable.The two spectrophotometric methods for determining iron content in water have high sensitivity,and the improved phenanthroline spectrophotomety is suitable for the determination of iron in water.
