Kinetic Analysis of Reaction of Bisphenol A Epoxy Resin and Acrylic Acid Catalyzed by Triethylamine

Abstract
To study the reaction characteristics of bisphenol A epoxy acrylate synthesised by acrylic acid(AA)and bisphenol A epoxy resin(E-51)catalysed by triethylamine(TEA).In this study,the effect of reaction temperature on the reaction rate was investigated using in-situ infrared technology.The reaction rates at 90℃,100℃and 110℃were 0.01448,0.02341 and 0.04229 min-1,respectively.The reaction kinetics was studied by establishing a kinetic model for the determination of the acid value and the determination of the ester group concentration in the system.At the same time,the rate constant calculated by regression analysis is in accordance with the Arrhenius formula,further confirming that the reaction is a first order kinetic reaction.The apparent activation energy of the reaction system is 57.98±0.71 kJ/mol and the frequency factor is 2.48×106 min-1.It is temperature sensitive and easily affected by temperature changes.Studies have shown that the reaction temperature should be controlled during the synthesis process,which can effectively prevent the system from losing control due to reaction heat release.关键词
