Study on the Optimized Characterization Method of Micro-Nanoplastics by Combining FTICR MS and UVPD-MS/MS

Abstract
In order to better trace the microplastics in food packaging and analyze their harm to human body,Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry and ultraviolet photodissociation mass spectrometry were used to characterize the microplastics in mineral water bottles and vacuum packaging bags.The results show that the ion peak signal intensity of mineral water bottle and vacuum packaging bag microplastics is 3.5×108 and 4.8×109,respectively.Both of them have equidistant peaks in the range of m/z greater than 1000 Da,and their mass differences are 192 Da and 113 Da,respectively,which are consistent with the mass of the repeating units of polyethylene terephthalate and polyamide 6,respectively.After laser desorption,there is a covalent bond fracture in the microplastics of mineral water bottles,while this phenomenon does not exist in vacuum packaging bags.After UV photodissociation,35 and 59 fragment ions were produced in mineral water bottles and vacuum packaging bags,respectively.The above results show that Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry and ultraviolet photodissociation mass spectrometry can accurately characterize the microplastics produced by food packaging and realize the traceability of microplastics.关键词
