Aging Life Prediction Assessment of Industrial Silicone Rubber

采用热烘箱法,设计了不同温度下有机硅橡胶的热老化试验,获得老化前后拉伸模量、拉伸强度和拉断伸长率的长期的试验数据,并通过阿累尼乌斯经验公式,对其寿命进行了预测评估.试验数据结果表明,有机硅橡胶常温下的拉伸强度使用寿命为11.5年,拉断伸长率的使用寿命为14.8年.综合考虑,选取拉伸强度作为有机硅橡胶热老化寿命预测的指标较合理.

In this paper,thermal aging tests of silicone rubber at different temperatures were designed by using hot oven method.The long-term test data of tensile modulus,tensile strength and elongation at break before and after aging were obtained.The life of silicone rubber was predicted and evaluated by Arrhenius empirical formula.The results of test data show that the service life of silicone rubber is 11.5 years for the tensile strength at room temperature,and 14.8 years for the elongation at break.All things considered,it is more reasonable to select tensile strength as the indicator for the prediction of heat aging life of silicone rubber.
