Best evidence summary for the safety management of day surgery in children with tonsillectomy
摘要
Abstract
Objective:To evaluate and summarize the best evidence for perioperative safety management of day surgery in children with tonsillectomy.Methods:Clinical decisions,guidelines,expert consensus,systematic reviews and evidence summaries related to promoting the safe management of day surgery for pediatric tonsillectomy patients were searched by computer in databases including BMJ,the Cochrane Library,UpToDate,website of WHO,website of Day Surgery Association,website of American Association of Otolaryngology,website of Head and Neck Surgery,JBI Evidence-Based Health Care Center from inception to November 2023.Two researchers evaluated literature quality,extracted and summarized evidence,and graded it.Results:A total of 10 high-quality literatures were included,including 3 clinical decisions,3 guidelines,2 expert consensus,1 systematic review,and 1 evidence summary.A total of 25 pieces of best evidence were collected from three aspects:preoperative assessment and preparation,close nursing and observation,discharge guidance and follow-up.Conclusions:It is suggested that clinical medical staff should select the best evidence according to the clinical practice in the future,and further improve the nursing norms of children's tonsil day surgery to ensure the safety of children's day surgery.关键词
