Research progress on impact and mechanism of prenatal bisphenol S exposure on offspring's lipid metabolism
双酚类物质广泛应用于聚碳酸酯和塑料的制造.随着双酚类物质的典型代表——双酚A(BPA)的限用、禁用,双酚S(BPS)作为BPA的主要替代物被广泛地应用于各种聚合物的制造.人类可以通过多种途径暴露于BPS,在食品、环境和人类血液及排泄物中均可检测到BPS.对BPS安全性的关注已经成为一个重要的问题,特别是对孕妇与胎儿而言.多项研究结果支持产前接触BPS会对子代产生多种不良影响,尤其是产前BPS暴露可能会影响母体及子代的代谢平衡,增加子代脂质代谢异常的风险.本文总结了有关BPS暴露与脂质代谢异常的研究结果.此外,本文还探讨了BPS作用的潜在机制,包括其可能通过对激素受体的干扰、激活过氧化物酶体增殖物激活受体 γ(PPARγ)、诱导氧化应激和炎症状态及表观遗传效应等方面来影响脂质代谢.这些发现强调了对BPS及其潜在影响进行更深入研究的重要性,以更好地了解其对人类健康的影响,为制定相应的公共卫生措施提供依据,减少BPS暴露的风险.
Bisphenols are widely used in the manufacture of polycarbonates and plastics.With the restriction and banning of bisphenol A(BPA),a typical representative of bisphenols,bisphenol S(BPS)has been widely used in the manufacture of various polymers as the main alternative to BPA.Humans are exposed to BPS through a variety of routes,and BPS is detected in food,envi-ronment,and human blood and excreta.Concerns about the safety of BPS have become an im-portant issue,especially for pregnant women and fetuses.The results of several studies support that prenatal exposure to BPS have multiple adverse effects on the offspring.In particular,prenatal BPS exposure may affect maternal and offspring metabolic homeostasis and increase the risk of abnormal lipid metabolism in the offspring.This paper summarized the results of studies on BPS exposure and abnormal lipid metabolism.In addition,this review explored potential mechanisms of BPS,including its possible influence on lipid metabolism through interference with hormone receptors,activation of the nuclear receptor peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor γ(PPARγ),induction of oxidative stress and inflammatory states,and epigenetic effects.These findings emphasized the importance of more in-depth research on BPS and its potential effects to better understand its impact on human health and to provide a basis for developing appropriate public health measures to reduce the risk of BPS exposure.
